Today was kind of a bummer of a day. I had a horrible allergic reaction to a new moisturizer I had used…my face broke out into hives and my eyes were so swollen it looked like I had been stung by 500 bees. These are the days I’m thankful working from home is an option…because no way was I leaving the house under those conditions (aside from total vanity, I was also insanely uncomfortable all day). Food was on the boring/lazy side, because I was grouchy and bummy all day and couldn’t be bothered to do much of anything beyond the bare minimum.

Mocha Almond Figgy Pops; coffee

I couldn’t bring myself to make even the most simple breakfast today, so I waited until I was just about passing out from hunger and finally made coffee and ate a few of these fig things.

Honey BBQ turkey meatloaf; “melting potatoes;” steamed broccoli

Lunch was the last of the meatloaf leftovers. Grouchy Jessi couldn’t even be bothered to take it out of the (Christmas-themed) plastic tupperwear.

Cadbury Mini Eggs

Sometimes you have a bad day and just need to eat some Cadbury Mini Eggs to make yourself feel better. It happens.

(Consulting my Blue Apron app) Togarashi popcorn chicken with sweet chili cabbage and rice

Another Blue Apron special…frankly, it was a feat in and of itself that I made dinner at all. Small wins! This was a tasty one – basically just fancy chicken nuggets with crunchy, sweet/spicy cabbage. I love me some popcorn chicken, so I gobbled it right up. Jeff added BBQ sauce, because…Jeff.

And that’s it – told you it was a boring day. According to my Fitbit, I walked a total of 2,731 steps all day…and that actually seems high to me. I’m working from home tomorrow too (the swelling’s finally starting to subside, but I want to be able to ice my poor face and apply cortisone cream throughout the day, which would be awkward at work), but I’m determined to at least shower and get out to do some grocery shopping. Wish me luck!
